In recent years Wix has been committed to take developer velocity to the next level. We have been building ‘Nile’ - a development platform optimized for productivity and developers’ happiness, which has already reduced the time it takes to write a microservice by 60%-80%. Nile allows us to move quickly in a complex ecosystem of thousands of microservices and focus on delivering real business value.
In this meetup, we will share the behind-the-scenes of this effort, the mindset required to build our developer platform and a look to the future.

Yuval Perry is the head of Wix Server Infrastructure, as well as, the Server Guild Manager. His passion is in empowering engineers to reach their full potential. In his current role, he focuses on building solutions that increase team productivity and accelerate project timelines.

In this talk, we will reveal our top infrastructure products, aimed to boost developer velocity and experience at Wix. We will also share the process we went through, the pains and the gains, and the actual tools we built.
Savva Khalaman - Savva is a Technical Product Manager in the Wix Server Infra group. He has extensive experience in designing and building tools boosting dev velocity and development experience. His passions are about solving cross-teams riddles and dependencies.
Oded Aepl - Oded has been developing software for the last 13 years and is currently working as a backend infrastructure architect for Wix. During his career, he worked at various companies and also co-founded MyQuest, an online training and coaching platform. He is a strong advocate of the API first approach, as well as the concept of platform engineering.
