Journey to Functional Programming

Igal Tabachnik

Functional programming sounds great, in principle, but can it actually deliver on its promise of building highly scalable, predictable, composable and testable applications? In this lecture, Igal teaches us how to build just about any kind of software in a purely functional way in Scala, from first principles.

"Igal is a senior software engineer at, working on infrastructure and internal developer tools. Currently on a Functional Programming journey, having fallen in love with functional languages after nearly 15 years of more ""traditional"" object-oriented development. Every day is a new discovery!
Igal also contributes to open-source projects, speaks at software-related events, and co-organizes Underscore - the Israeli Scala user group.
